yeah wushu competitions are usually separated into "taolu" or routines, and "sanshou" or sparring. THis is obviously taolu :-P wushu does literally mean martial arts, but in this context it refers to the sport of contempory wushu which is a fusion of many different styles of traditional wushu and gymnastic movements.

lmfao at ignorant fool...Wushu's sparing is based on points, u put Steven Silva up aainst a Wushu master...see what happens...wushu is a marshal arts doomed vers ne marshal arts with heavy grapeling like jujitsu, mixed marshal arts, judo...and doomed vers kimpo...because all of these can get with in wushu's fancy dancy kicks...its a joke..Fact...99.9% of all street fights go to the ground...wushu = fucked up the ass with no lubricant in a real fight.

dude wushu's training and its performance are two different things. in a street fight their are no weight classes, tap outs, or places you cant hit. wushu trains every part of the body in speed power accuracy and flexibility. its up to the practitioner to apply it. o and its martial not marshal and kempo not kimpo. fact 99.99% of street fights are people who have no clue how to fight. the real joke is people who think mma is the greatest martial art ever.
