The problem is... an authentic belly dancer NEVER wears SHOES! She never got the freedom of the dance, meaning, wearing heels restricted her gracefulness, posture, balance and most of all, her form and alignment. Sorry... jmho.

Many "authentic" dancers wear shoes in many different countries. Some people don't want to look poor and/or get glass in their feet.

This is not Turkish style, this is a spaz attack. No matter what style's standards you judge her by, she looks like she has overdosed on yerba mate.
She is doing a great thing for the dance world; she is letting us all agree on one thing :)

I am learning to bellydance and learning about the different styles of bellydance, and to me that looks nothing like either Turkish or Egyptian, neither does it look refined. I don't think much of her dancing at all.

lmao.. i swear she is directing traffic with that arm work! ha ha ha.. in resorts there the dancers are terrible.. i was in marmaris last year just on a holiday and a waiter knew i dancerd so dragged me up to dance witht eh dancer.. who wast that bad that she promptly left the restaurant n i had to finish her show.. ha ha ha

Turkish style belly dancers usually wear high heels, egyptian's never. However this girl is horrible, yes.
If you want to see a really good dancer, check videos of Hale Sultan. She is a turkish style dancer.
