that is the understatement of the YEAR!!!! They "look" smarter and smarter merely because they lower the standards and BOOM!! BETTER REPORTS!!! or atleast the 75foot sign by the main road here says... lol seriously we had a super large sign stating the school that i went to beat records (7yrs later) when they just lowered them so the outcome looked better. which is what they were rating... it goes far beyond our educational system but it starts there. well, nvm. your right. its the fing schools

Thats whats wrong with schools. Im a middle schooler in the IB MYP program (google it), which is an international currculem. You think my school has problems? I think students need to push themselves, its not the teachers duty.

I don't think people are getting dumber and dumber either. Maybe more out of touch with reality. What was taught in 6 grade is taught in 4th.
Besides, without government, less families would send their kids to school for financial reasons, and just not giving a sh*t. The countries with the best educational systems are ones with heavy intervention. I think the problem is with our culture and society.

Nope. Not for a while. It will be a novelty initially. The power to weight ratio is a problem. Can't wait to see how they do in a Michigan winter.
Stupid thing is efficient Gas (had it before see Geo Metro) and really efficient Diesel with a hybrid assist will be far more practical.
Americans refuse to give up on the size and weight or have in the past. Talk is cheap...we'll see. Gov't should re-regulate the Oil Futures would help all. Then add a carbon tax to get you to pick better.

I agree, it's the American's egocentric idealistic frame of thinking that makes us seem like idiots. We don't put ourselves in other people's shoes, that makes us ignorant as we can only see what we view the world.
Although there is a theory in the field of psychology stating that only 30% of humans will ever reach differentiated perspectives(seeing the world in another view aka another person's eyes)
The other can't even grasp the concept.

I don't know Lithium from Lead-Acid...please! You've clearly never left your iPod in the car in Winter below -20 degF or can explain the chemical method of the memory effect.
Lithium is clearly better then Lead-Acid in many ways (esp. power vs. weight), but they are also more expensive...doesn't help that US battery industry sells most car types for military apps and makes a killing on it.
Note that Toyota is mothballing the new Prius plant for now and it didn't make the top 10 this year!

That's not the half of it. Obviously you could expect a reply from one of those 30% or less. I for one can easily see through people, and can usually see what drives them. The one thing that baffles me is why that drives them. It isn't difficult to see that many people make huge decisions over greed, ignoring obvious fact that all odds are against them.
Unfortunately I have bad communication skills. I don't know if this is a common problem with my sort. I'm not a statistics nerd.

Exactly, like I said: you don't know what you're talking about. *Conventional* li-ion -- that's LiCoO2+graphite -- has no memory effect, but it does get lithium plating when charged at sub-zero temperatures, ages even when not in use, and so forth. *These Are Not The Batteries Being Talked About When It Comes To Electric Cars*. Pretty much only Tesla is using conventional li-ion. Essentially everyone else is using phosphates, spinels, and titanates, which are *not* like that.
