Personally I think Apocalypse Now is the 'greater' movie, it's epic in scope and everything, but overall I think FMJ is the better movie. Platoon is more to the point. Which is good for some people, but not for me in this case...

To be honest all three are good, it just depends on what you want to watch the most.
apocalypse now is more moody and mellow compared with the other two,
platoon is looking what it was like being the rookie there and full metal jacket is in between the two as it shows what the war did to people fighting in it.
They are all classic war movies that must be seen.

Most Mainstream is crap, but there are always greats to be found in the underground. SOAD is confusing to me. 1 minute I hear the hiatus is permanent, the next I hear it won't last, then it's "we might come back" In my opinion I think the break is smart because all of them clearly saw that they were becoming too big for their own good, and when you get too big, people get tired of you. Now that they have been doing other stuff for 2 years, people are itching for them to reunite.
