Came here to listen to the song. Never heard it before, but heard of it. I really liked this version and loved the sparse arrangement with the piano and mandolin coming through. This is a very good cover, but it is not better than the original by the Dream Academy. But everyone should have an opinion. What got me was how many people assume anyong preferring the original is anti-South. Someone even brought up the Civil War. It's just a song!! Chill out. Now let's discuss how cute Jennifer is....

First heard this with Sugarland, Little Big Town and Jake Owen. Hadn't heard it before but then gave a listen to Dream Academy. Both versions are excellent, It really comes down to taste and that is something that makes us all different. I think we can all agree, whichever version, it is a great song with really good harmonies.

I like the original much more, LOVE British pop, R&B but I'm from the US. Like old school country (way old - Buck Owens, Waylon, Johnny Cash Loretta Lynn etc.) Don't like "contemporary country" for the most part. This being said, this group chose a very interesting song to cover and it's not too bad. Most contemporary country groups are excellent musicians. Unfortunately, original sounding songwriting is scarce in this style of music.

This is the first time I have heard Sugarland's version of this classic; my first impression is that it is a decent tune; BUT it does not compare to the Dream Academy's version. Of course the first time you hear a tune it does not always resonate, but Dream's version is a classic. 4 stars but not of the original's quality...
