WWE should have a storyline where Kane gets burned alive again somehow. Then like 3 months later he returns with his old or a modified version of this costume.
That in itself might make the WWE watchable again.

Absolutely EVERYTHING was better back in those days.
I think everything went downhill after Eddie's death. It was already bad, with Rock, Stone Cold, Xpac, Brock, and bill gone. But that just sealed it.
